Bakersfield City Fireworks show 2015

Bakersfield city fireworks 2015Well, it was exciting news when it was formally announced during last night’s city council meeting that the River Walk Amphitheater park area, 4th of July fireworks and celebration was back on.  I worked had with city staff to resurrect this great local event that celebrates our nation’s independence and brings a collective atmosphere of community to city residents.  Last year twelve thousand people attended this event and now with the help of our gracious sponsors, I feel that this year’s event may be even bigger and better then ever.  I would like to thank the major donation contributors; Kaiser Permanente, San Joaquin Community Hospital and the Bakersfield Police Officers Association, along with others that rallied to to fill this need.  What a great community!
